Smiffy Bear at Home

COVID-19 has had a significant impact on the global economy, as well as people’s health and livelihoods. The initial outbreak in March 2020 led to unprecedented disruption across all industries, and the housing market was no exception. The nation was suddenly faced with the daunting prospect of remote working, many for the first time.

Here at MorfittSmith, however, we took it on the chin and tried our best to make the very best of our time indoors. This prompted us to launch the #SmiffyBearAtHome project, a social media campaign where we captured all the mischief our cuddly mascot got up to during the first national lockdown.

These continuing adventures offered a cheerful and humorous counterpoint to the uncertainty of the pandemic as it unfolded, becoming a favourite on our social media. Smiffy Bear never let the isolation stop him from having adventures. Whether he was getting lost in a fictional world or devouring easter treats, fielding customer calls or “helping” out around the garden, Smiffy Bear made the most of the time he had at home and so did we.
