John Morfitt

Director / Valuer |

John is held in high regard throughout the property market in Sheffield. With nearly 30 years in the property market, he has become extremely well known for his dedication and enthusiasm. John is relishing being part of a new independent team and is excited to be getting back to what he does best – providing a bespoke, caring service to each and every client who walks through the morfittsmith doors. He understands that it is all about the people. When he’s not working, which is not very often, John enjoys socialising and eating out, although his favourite hobby, Housing, just happens to be his job too!!

Julie Mitchell

Finance Officer |

Julie has recently joined the team, and brings with her many years experience in the Accounting and Finance area. The rest of the team are getting used to Julie chasing them for invoices and receipts! When Julie is not at work she spends her time with friends, is a keen walker and likes to travel.

Paul Batty

Director |

Paul brings his creative vision to morfittsmith, single handedly designing our uniquely styled offices and ensuring our marketing media fits the bill. His belief in quality marketing is the reason why your home comes to life in print, and online, and looks just as good as in real life. His motto to life is “If it exists in my mind, it must be achievable!”. In his spare time, Paul can usually be found walking Veronica (the morfitsmith mascot), in the gym (motivation permitting) or dining out.

Gerard Collins

Gerard moved to Sheffield in 2010 to study at Sheffield Hallam University. Upon the conclusion of his course he began a career in hospitality management cumulating in the overseeing of a 5-star Ski Chalet in The French Alps. Having taken his career in hospitality as far as he’d wished to go, he took on his first role in the property sector on the other side of The Pennine’s working in and around Stockport where he progressed from sales negotiator to Trainee Valuer before returning to Sheffield. Having joined MorfittSmith in February of 2017 he has since progressed to a Valuer and is now flourishing, combining his fresh approach to the tried and tested methods of our Senior Valuer and Director, John Morfitt. When not in the office, he can be found involved in all things football, equally enjoying both playing and watching the game. As a Carlisle fan, he holds no bias towards the red or blue sides of the city. He also spends much of his time in The Peak District which he states is the closest he’s found to replicating the beauty of The Lake District in which he grew up.

Rob Beal

Lettings Manager | A.R.L.A

Rob has been involved in Estate Agency since 2003 and has passed both the NAEA and ARLA technical awards for residential property. Having excelled in a variety of roles Rob now specialises in lettings and property management. Customer service is his forte and Rob is always prepared to go the extra mile for his clients, helping in any way he can to make sure the job gets done. Sheffield is his home city and there isn’t a lot Rob doesn’t know about the area, from local schools and parks to restaurants and shops. Outside of work a lot of Rob’s free time is spent with his wife and two young sons. A keen sports fan; especially of rugby, cricket & football and although officially “retired” Rob occasionally finds time for the odd game of 5 a side, even if he pays for it the next morning.

Karen Woffindin

Karen has a great deal of customer service knowledge, being on both sides of the house buying process. Having returned back to work recently from dedicating her time to raising a family she brings her enthusiasm and knowledge of the local property market to morfittsmith. In her spare time Karen enjoys walking the family dog and socialising with family and friends.

Lewis Hughes

Lewis joins the team as our Administrator, ensuring all your property details are in order before marketing begins. Lewis is currently expanding his knowledge of the property industry, although his passion for homes, and the people within them shines through. In his spare time, Lewis spends time with his friends and family, and regularly attends his favourite teams home matches. Very soon he plans to take driving lessons.

Jill Reeves

Jill brings her charm and experience to our Banner Cross office, with a wealth of agency experience, you can be sure that your house sale is in safe hands. If it wasn’t estate agency, Jill would be a travel agent as she loves nothing more that jetting off around the world to far flung exotic locations. If she’s not busy selling houses, she’s busy planning her and everyone else’s next big trip. In her spare time Jill enjoys walking in the countryside, meals out with friends and going out to watch local bands. Jill doesn’t tell everyone, but her guilty pleasure is watching The Great British Bake Off, even though cake rarely passes her lips she still likes to look.

Alex Cocker

Alex joined the team as “The Apprentice” and after 11 month we were delighted to have our own Lord Sugar moment and say “Your Hired”. Alex is now continuing to develop his knowledge of the local housing market, his infectious enthusiasm to help and regularly receives praise and encouragement from both sellers and buyers. Alex can often be found exploring the big City of Sheffield, If he’s not working, he’s either walking the family dog or spending time with friends and family.

Dawn Morton

Dawn’s love of people and property, makes her a great addition to the team, matching properties to people and helping them find their perfect new home. With a wealth of knowledge and customer service, you can be certain that no task is too daunting. Outside work, Dawn can often be seen in her local Salsa and Jive classes, walking in the Derbyshire Dales, or simply relaxing reading a good book.

Sarah Goodacre

With over 30 years secretarial and administration experience, Sarah’s down to earth and ‘can do’ approach make her the ideal person to help maintain the smooth running of our Landlords’ properties. When maintenance issues arise, Sarah is often the first point of contact and her professional approach has gained the trust of our Landlords in a short space of time. Sarah is currently studying towards the Association of Residential Lettings (ARLA) awards to further her role within the company. Having lived in Sheffield all her life, she has extensive knowledge of the local area, and is the proud mother of a 9 year old son.
